Devotio — The Prayers

The Prayers,
In Both Tongues.

Every prayer carries its Latin and its English as separate fields, typed and tagged — Marian, penitential, of the Rosary — so a client can serve a prayer by name, draw one at random, or pull the whole set a devotion needs. No scraping, no transcription, and the Latin is the received text rather than a back-translation of the English.

Salve Regina

O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
